PALO ALTO AND SURROUNDING AREA REAL ESTATE MARKET UPDATE

WEEK IN REVIEW:


The real estate  market in Palo Alto continue to be strong for this time of the year.
We had 7 new active listings last week in Palo Alto as oppose to 10 listings for the
previous week, with 2 new listings in Old Palo Alto which is unusual for this time and
another nice listing in Professorville and one re-list in Palo Alto Hills.

8 listings had a change of status to pending.as oppose to 13 for last week.
Three houses above 2 millions changed status this week: the new construction in Midtown, the house on Lincoln that was listed in September and the large property on Palo alto Avenue that was listed in July.
The activity in this range reflects the demand for larger and move-in condition properties in Palo Alto.
It will be interesting to see if Emerson and Kingsley will sell quickly!

12 listings closed escrow this week as oppose to 8 for last week.
One listing closed escrow within only one week.
